. Positives: We stayed 3 glorious nights at the Savoy Hotel and could not fault our stay. The location is second to none with the vibe of Myeongdong embrassing our every being. Beds were so very comfortable which is a clincher for us when it comes to reviews. Negatives: Only staying 3 nights.... wish it was longer...... Osaka Japan, here we come.. .

. We stayed at this hotel 3 times. Location is great, very close to the train station and right in the middle of the main shipping / dining area. . .

. Area around hotel is very crowded and sometimes loud at night - makes sense for the area it is in though. Make sure you are ok with this before booking. Like that it was continently located next to everything. . .

. I liked that the location was convenient for shopping purposes. However, what I didn't like is that, as we walking out of the door at about 10:55 AM to go downstairs to check out, we received a call telling us that the keys had to be turned in by 11. We said that we might be a couple of minutes late, to which the reply was that we would be charged an extra day. Really? That's how sticky they are! I have been to few Asian hotels, and never have we been called prior to checking out. For that reason alone, I am NEVER stepping foot in the Savoy again. Besides, for the whole week, we never asked them to clean our room. Not impressed. . .

Great Location. Very convenient location. Lots to do and see in the area. The only thing to be aware of is that this hotel is on the interior roads of the Myeongdong area and as such it is very difficult to drive too in the afternoon and almost impossible in the evening when the streets are filled with pedestrians. I felt sorry for our driver trying to navigate to the hotel at night and for our pickup we actually walked a block away so that the driver didn't have to contend with the pedestrians.. .

. It's located inside Myeongdong, but close to subway station. It is a very busy part of town especially at night, but my room was located facing the courtyard, so it was not noisy at all. Street food and shops are right outside the main entrance, so that was nice for any cheap late-night snacks. Staff were polite and spoke enough English to get by. Rooms were a bit on the smaller size but for its location its good trade off. . .
