Passable. Right in front of the hotel is the metro station of Seodaemun. And convenience store across the road... It's not worth the price for the location and the room.. the room is small and pricey for that price..

A peaceful, welcoming haven in the heart of Seoul where I felt truly cared for every single day.. I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Shilla Stay Seodaemun from 22nd February to 30th March 2025. Yes, it was a bit of a long stay, and I can honestly say it felt like a home away from home in the heart of Seoul. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality, kindness, and genuine care shown by the staff, especially the incredible reception team, were beyond anything I expected. The mountain view from my room was so peaceful and grounding that it became part of my daily routine to pause and soak it in each morning. It brought such a sense of calm to my stay. Everything about this hotel is thoughtfully done: ✔️ Super convenient location (literally seconds from the metro) ✔️ Washing machine and gym on-site - lifesavers for a long stay ✔️ Delicious food at the restaurant - so scrumdiddly But truly, what made this place special was the people. One cleaner went so above and beyond to make me feel looked after, it honestly moved me. The whole team consistently made me feel like I mattered and made sure I felt welcomed and cared for. I also have to say: I have never slept so well in a hotel. Thank you, Shilla Stay Seodaemun. You gave me more than just a place to stay, and your team are such a credit to your brand and deserves all the flowers 💛. .

Good overall. Everything was okay. The only complaint is the showerhead, which made strange noises, and the water did not reach far enough for a comfortable shower. Also, the bathtub surface felt unstable when standing, as if it were sinking.. .

Not sure how this place qualifies for a 4 star hotel- beggars belief.. This place doesn’t have a lobby. This is a skinniest building you can get and how did they manage to squeeze a hotel? You can’t even have a minimum space for fellow travellers with suitcases without bumping to each other while you are trying to close your umbrella without getting wet outside. The bathroom doesn’t even have a fan and it had an off smell throughout the stay The fridge doesn’t work so forget about getting a cold water in the morning The room is dark - see it for yourself (photo attached) Cups (tea cups and cups in the bathroom for brushing teeth) are disposable cups when they emphasise their green initiatives- rank hypocrisy And we paid over USD300 per night in Seoul. It’s been a good story to tell people as an entertainment. Yes, you should only consider staying in this accommodation only as a joke. There will be a plenty of choices so spend your money wisely and stay elsewhere. I will be fair. The location is excellent. Staff is trying their best. But those two factors alone cannot make it up for the shortcomings to be a 4 star (allegedly).. .

Decent stay, with some issues. Service was very good, we had early check-in at 1pm. Hotel has a small but decently equipped gym. Location is right outside either exit 7 or exit 8 of Seodaemun station. It is about 2-3 bus stops away from Seoul station. However, there were certain lapses in housekeeping: 1. Housekeeping didn't refill our bodywash when requested 2. Housekeeping took our bodywash away but didn't give us a new one. 3. There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night. Lobby was flooded, and lifts were not working despite the fire alarm being "resolved" more than 1 hr ago. This meant that we had to carry our luggage from the 8th floor to the 1st floor at 5am in the morning for checkout.. .

Quite strategic place, Good services. Good Points - The service was quite nice, we were given a free early check-in at 1 pm. - The room was quite decent with a good intersection city view. - Location super good, hotel location is directly in front of exits 7 and 8 Seodaemun Station (서대문) with 2 buses to the Seoul Station (서울역), 1 MRT station to Gwanghwamun (광화문), 3 MRT stations to Yeoeuido (여의도, where the Hyundai mall is located). However, this point can be improved - The housekeeping forgot to change and refill our body wash. .

Very good. Location is so nice. The thing should be improve is breakfast menu. My 6 days with the same menu ,that me unhappy with meal in the moring.. .

Good. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. I book the room 2 months ago indicating that i need a room on the high floor, which we did not get..
