If I could give 6 stars, I would.. Where do I even begin? The service was impeccable throughout my stay in Hotel 28 Myeongdong. The reception team was extremely helpful and even going extra miles for my request such as making restaurant bookings and assisting with placing deposit on my behalf as they couldn't accept foreign credit card for the online reservation. The hotel was also very kind to allow us to have early check-in without charge. The Korean breakfast was all amazing and I highly recommend either the bulgogi beef or grilled mackerel fish instead of western breakfast. The pine nut ginseng tea was so fragant and tasty and was told that it's the hotel "secret receipe" and ain't available elsewhere. The location was perfect and was situated right in the middle of the happening myeongdong street. There's no lack of food choices and it's only 5-6 mins walking distance to the train station and near to many sightseeing places. The rooms are clean, and the bed and pillows are great. We stayed on the 6th floor and it wasn't noisy. We were given popcorns on our check-in day because it is a movie theme hotel. In addition, the snacks in the minibar are free and replenished daily. I would like to give a special shoutout to Cluster Director Of Rooms Mr Joon Jeong and thank him for his warm hospitality, his high efficiency and kind breakfast treat. For sure, I'll be back again in my next visit. Till then, wishing all staff the best and good health! Hwaiting!. .

Hard to beat location, just don’t expect facilities. Comfortable hotel in very central location The service was very good but it’s hard to believe it is a member of SLH hotels which are usually unique. .

Beautiful boutique hotel with prime location and great staff!. The hotel is a very cute boutique hotel, located in a central location of Seoul. The design is all about movies and filming which is quite interesting. The personnel is extremely kind and willing to help. The food at breakfast is great, albeit limited but everything was of very high quality. They even have gluten free options which is rare. Would really recommend the hotel :). The rooms are a bit small and not always conveniently designed (ie if you travel with a friend, the sink is outside in the bedroom and the bath is only closed by a curtain). the AC was a bit noisy so we had to ask the maintenance to fix it, which they tried as best as they could..

Nice staff and excellent location, but room is not a good value.. The hotel location was excellent and the staff were very polite and accommodating when possible. I asked for an hour late checkout and was given. They also helped my husband microwave his food multiple times during our stay.. The room was dark so we had to turn on the lights whenever we were in the room. There was also a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The staff offered to wax the toilet, but the smell went away the next day..

Wonderful small hotel in a top location. This is a lovely central hotel right in the heart of Myeongdong. Although it is a very busy area all day and late into the night, our room was quiet and we didn’t hear any street noise. The room wasn’t the largest but was very cleverly designed so it felt reasonably spacious. The bathroom had a fabulous free standing bath as well as a shower and had lovely Molton Brown toiletries. The hairdryer was a Dyson which gave me a great opportunity to try one. The whole room was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy. The staff were very kind and helpful. It is 2 minute walk to the nearest metro (Euljiro 1) and there is another metro station a little bit further away (Myeongdong). All around the hotel are a maze of shopping streets and in the evening a street market pops up with loads of different foods. The whole area feels really buzzy. The cathedral is in walking distance, as are several of the Royal Palaces. At the time of staying the breakfast room was being refurbished so they provided a lovely breakfast tray in the room with varoius choices to be made the evening before. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. It also had a laundry for guests if you need to do any washing of clothes. There is a small charge for this. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you prefer boutique hotels to the large chains.. .

a hotel with outstanding human and culinary touches. One of the best restaurants I ate at on our South Korean trip. We had a multi-course supper and also breakfast was very very good. The hotel was founded by a famous local movie star and a few eccentric and quirky aspects must be down to this (i.e. there is a small exhibition that shows the life of the actor). Altogether there was a mood that the hotel is more than a mere business and guests' comfort is valued very highly (e.g. we were not able to book train tickets, two employes helped us although the process took a long time, and eventually paid the tickets from the hotel accounts that we then repaid, they raced with us to the exit to make sure we got the taxi in time, etc.) a great culinary and human experience.. .
