Convenient Location. Hotel Newv was the perfect place to stay for our weekend get away. It's a five minute walk from Seolleung Station which was very convenient for us. It's only 1 stop away from the big COEX mall and two stops away from Gangnam station. The staff were friendly and spoke English well. They were also able to store our luggages even after we checked out. In terms of cleanliness, our room was very neat and tidy. They supplied us with fresh toiletries everyday (i.e. shampoo/conditioner). If you are a tourist, just know that it isn't in the heart of tourist attractions like Myeongdong, the Namsan Tower, or the Palaces. It will take at least 30 mins to get there by subway, however it is very easy to do so. With that being said, I would still recommend this hotel as it is away from the party scene, depending on what you're looking for.. .

Dirtiest hotel. I was expecting this hotel to be pretty good or decent, however I'm surprised Hotel Newv had a rating of 4 and above considering my experience at this hotel. My first impressions of the staff is that they are very mediocre they are only doing their job and we didn't feel very welcome in the hotel with very limited capability of speaking English. The first thing i noticed upon going up to my room was how dirty the hotel is, there was lots of dust and hair on the floor, carpet and walls with stains. Upon going into my room it was absolutely ATROCIOUS. Bed sheets had black stains, as if they weren't changed. Water marks on walls and lights, a huge water stain on the chair and bathroom with mould. Room stunk of cigarettes. Upon further inspection we noticed there was a water leak coming from the ceiling. I expressed my disappointment to the hotel and they only apologised and moved us to the room next door. No upgrades or anything else. I would not recommend this hotel, please spend your money else where.. .

Good valu when they have deals and great location by the subway.. Easy check in, lots of cafes nearby and food with a 7-11 beside the hotel and Coupang delivery is easy to receive. Subway is literally 2 minutes away and very convenient.. Rooms vary the first one we had smelled of smoke and was a bit run down. This was supposed to be a no smoking room/floor. I am not sure they actually enforce no smoking. There was a drink guy near the check-in asking us where we were from and the staff did nothing about it. I am a female travelling with a teenage girl, and this made me feel uncomfortable and it was inappropriate at 10pm. I did not know if he was staying there and I did not want to get into the elevator if he was going up as one card activates the floors and anyone can push a floor after. My daughter felt scared when this happened..

Perfect stay!. They don’t have a grand entrance / lobby but the details in the room - it’s probably better than some of those 5 star rated hotels. They have a smart toilet bowl in the room with built in bidet and heated seat. Easy to squeeze shampoos, shower gels etc (I am not sure why is this still not practiced in all hotels). Easy to access WiFi and hotel location. Finally, I can sit and enjoy my skin care and make up routine in the room with a good decent mirror. A lot of time, this is usually neglected, not a must to have, but when I see this in a boutique hotel, then I’ll be wondering why not the star rated hotels. It’s always good to have a good sized wardrobe, and they have it as well. The staff’s English is good too. Friendly and efficient!. It’d be good to have more hangers in the room..
