Don't be fooled!. I stayed there for about a week in late October of 2019. I was traveling with my family members and we rented 2 rooms. One with 2 twin beds, one with a queen-size bed and washer/dryer in the room.
The hotel looks nice from the outside - modern, urban and hip. But the hotel is dated in the inside - dimly lit hallways with dirty and worn out carpet, to begin with. From 1st to 4th floor (I think) is a residence part of the hotel meaning that long term tenants with cooking, cleaning and other day-to-day stuff going on.
We're on the 7th floor and the elevators were always busy. The size of the rooms was average, we're in South Korea where space is at a premium. It had a kitchen with a small stove, fridge and the cooking pots/pans. So if you're planning on cooking while traveling, it will work for you. But we ate out every night and we didn't need a kitchen. Instead, I wished there was more room for other things - sitting and spreading suitcases and such. Because there were some people cooking I could smell some unpleasant odors in the hallways.
The beds were uncomfortable - cheap and hard mattress. And it was covered with plastic! What!@#
The front desk personnel was unfriendly. They provided the minimum assistance.
The overall experience that I had at Urban Place was very disappointing and would like to share it with future travelers.
Also, if you want to explore Seoul stay near Myeongdong, not in Gangnam. Myeongdong offers much richer historical and cultural experiences with easier access. And the hotel prices in Myeongdong is about the same as it is in Gangnam.. .

Very good. Location is perfect. Room was clean and had everything we need. Only one evelator and he is very slow. Waited too much to reach my floor.
